News! Something is coming in 2023!
Well, even when we love quick simple games and those are awesome for a short period of time, we really wanted complex characters and storylines. Therefore, while developing the game as a complement of it, I took a new challenge and opportunity.
It was really important for me to create and represent a rich version of this Universe. Something that sometimes we are not able to showcase in a game (or a series of games). There are multiple questions that sometimes they don’t need answers in a game, but it does need to be written. For example, what are the rules of this World, what is political structure that exists?, what are the roles and way of interacting from all different species?, what motivates them?, etc.
In addition, with Cristine and Warly, we review multiple options for the formatting and how to convey this new information. We evaluated comic books, manga, shorts, clips, videos, web chapters, novella, novel, podcast, etc.
We finally decided that a novel would be nice and entertaining. It give us the opportunity to showcase the World and prepare players to understand what is beneath our game.
Great news is that the novel was already completed and it is in the Editing phase. So, I expect this to be published in 2023.
As the main writer of this novel, this forced me to evaluate decisions taken that reflected in the game, personalities, names, flaws and many other items that influenced our characters. This can only make The H.E.L.I.X. Enforcers better and the game more solid. I can’t wait to share with all of you the name and official release date.
