Gonzalo Figueroa
Gonzalo “Gonz” Figueroa is one of the founders of CNG studios and the President. He received an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Chile while running an Anime distribution company. He also created a multi-user dungeons and dragons called “Comics MUD” while completing his degree. He always dreamed of working in the video gaming industry and subsequently moved to the United States. While continuing his education at Miami International University of Art & Design, under the Computer Animation program, Gonzalo is constantly working on titles and enjoys working through each step in the pipeline. He looks forward to enhancing the video gaming industry in Miami.
He also completed his Masters of Science in Engineering Management at Florida International University in 2013.
Cristine Figueroa
Cristine Figueroa is one of the founders of CNG studios and currently Creative Director. She received a Master in Human Resources Management from Florida International University, studied an MFA in Ceramics just for fun, and a Bachelor’s in Communication and Psychology from The University of Miami for good measure. She is always looking to explore new ways to be creative and she assists with various areas of the company: creative vision, brainstorming, marketing, etc.
Mario Gonzalez
Born in Key West, Florida, Mario Gonzalez is a true Conch! He began piano lessons at the age of 12 and his love of music was born. After moving with his family to Miami, Mario bought his first computer, the Atari 400 to start learning basic programming language. In high school he started a group called Horizon comprised of two keyboard players and a singer. He always knew he was interested in the creative arts and then went on to the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale where he studied Audio Engineering and Video Production. He later worked with Univision Network as an Audio Engineer and Sound Booth Operator. In that time, his love for video games never faltered. He continued to download game making software and experimented with the Unreal Engine and then Unity. His love for music and games finally came to fruition and he began to work on game music and movie soundtracks. He is influenced by Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer and understands the power of music and sound when it comes to movies and games. Mario is responsible for immersing you into a world of sounds and effects.
Patrick Kwok
Patrick Kwok began coding at the age of 14 and never stopped. With the help of a lot of strategy and puzzle games such as Chess and Rush Hour, he was able to effectively problem solve and think critically at a really young age. His passion for developing video games have brought him many development skills and eventually landing his first job ever in a professional video game development company at the age of 17. Unfortunately, he had to leave for school. He has been told from a recruiter for simulation games that he will be very successful in the future for game development. Throughout his university years, he experimented with many game engines and programming languages, and then finally settling with Unity 3D as he felt it was simple to use yet very powerful. Patrick dreams of one day starting his own small video game development company.
